A large global logistics tycoon, which offers a range of logistical solutions based around its three core service platforms of Rail, Road and Terminals. your new organisation is unique in the rail industry, owning or leasing more than 122 freight railroads organised in nine locally managed operating regions with 8,000 employees serving 3,000 customers and have acquired over 100 railroads since 2000 including UK companies. They are now opening their doors to EXPERIENCED Accounts Payable specialists to join their large shared service centre Finance team, on a 6 month fixed term contract basis.

Your new role

In your new role you will be responsible for full cycle Accounts Payable duties. You will be joining a large fast paced team and responsible for the following duties:

• Processing Vendor invoices
• Employee Expenses
• Review Invoice queues, debit balances and vendor statements
• Ensure accuracy of aged creditor report
• Ensure all vendors are paid on a timely manner
• Ensuring all incoming invoices, statements and collection letters are administered appropriately
• Resolve payment queries in line with agreed SLA's

In this role you will be expected to build and maintain relationships with internal procurement and audit teams, external vendors and auditors as well as always providing a professional and educated solution to vendors/suppliers.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to be successful in this role you will have a minimum of 3-4 years experience in and Accounts Payable role. THIS IS ESSENTIAL in order to be able to fulfil the role to its fullest capacity. You must possess the ability to work swiftly and efficiently on excel and perform VLookup and Pivot Tables. A individual who has a keen eye for attention to detail and an analytical eye will be most successful as this role involves heavy reconciliation work.
