This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified Accountant who wants to make an impact on this organisation with the view of career progression or a seasoned Finance Manager who is looking for a new challenge.

Client Details

My client is a Niche organisation that are market leaders in their field.

Although this organisation holds "charitable status", they are by no means a typical charity.

What they do is truly exceptional and support other charities throughout Wales by donating money in the forms of grants to them.

Their funders are varied and include high net worth individuals, philanthropists and Investment banks.

Description

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Accountant to join this niche, market leading organisation as the Finance Manager.

As the number 1 in Finance, your role as Finance Manager with be progressive and support the Chief Executive and the Board in a strategic manor in order for the organisation to achieve its 5 year plan.

You will assume full control of the day to day running of the Finance department and will be responsible for;

  • Setting the budget for the whole organisation
  • Production of the Monthly Management Account reporting pack including variances.
  • Forecasting
  • Management of grant payments
  • development of the IT suite and Accounting software to speed up processes.
  • liaise with Investment Managers in order to assist them with decision making.
  • scenario modelling
  • attending Board Meetings
  • Deputising for the Chief Executive in their absence.
  • Creating a culture of continuous improvement in the organisation.
  • Staff management and development

Profile

Ideally You will be a qualified Accountant and hold either ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified Accountant, however QBE's and PQ's that can demonstrate the above attributes will be considered.

You will be a natural leader, not only of Finance staff but able to engage, motivate and lead a small team covering the full organisation.

You will have excellent Financial Reporting and Management Reporting skills.

You will have excellent analytical skills and be able to develop financial models to assist with business growth.

You will be able to demonstrate developing a culture of continuous improvement throughout an organisation.

It would be beneficial but not essential that you have dealt with grant funding.

You will be able to set budgets, forecast and produce accurate monthly management accounts.

You will have a "can do" attitude where no job is too big or small.

Job Offer

A salary in the range of £37,000 - £40,000 per annum.

potential for part time working, however flexible working is on offer.

28 days annual leave + Bank Holidays.

Pension

Central Cardiff location.
