Finance Assistant

Responsibilities:

• Purchase ledger: processing invoices received and expense claims into accounting software
• Sales ledger: creating and sending invoices to clients
• Management accounts: supporting the production of the monthly management pack
• FP&A: assisting with the preparation of annual budget, forecasts, analysis of management accounts
• Data analysis: assisting in the preparation of analyses of the company’s key metrics
• General admin including filing and updating spreadsheets
• Supporting non-finance staff with project management software
• Reconciling accounts and checking financial transactions for accuracy

Desirable

• Experience gained as an accounts assistant or in a junior finance role at an SME
• Experience of using Xero and project management software
• Part-qualified: AAT Professional Diploma or CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting
• Completed Level 4 Accountancy Professional Apprenticeship and looking to move on to Level 7
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and lookups
• Attention to detail, excellent communication skills and the ability to handle confidential information
• Highly motivated with the desire to be part of a growing company and work in a collaborative environment
