Ikano Bank are looking for an experienced Credit Risk Manager who will lead the 1st Line UK Credit Risk analyst team in optimising credit risk strategy within overall bank risk appetite. This exciting career opportunity is located at their award-winning centre in Nottingham. Key Accountabilities: As Credit Risk Manager you will:
• Manage the optimisation of the UK Branch credit application and behavioural scorecards in line with Ikano Bank strategy;
• Provide input into scorecard building and monitoring carried out by the Central Risk team;
• Proactively challenge and identify opportunities to improve the value of existing credit strategies to maximise returns;
• Co-ordinate MI reporting and analysis, pro-actively identifying opportunities for ongoing improvement and support their implementation;
• Manage and deliver compliant and controlled external bureaux reporting in line with ICO and bureaux requirements;
• Provide ongoing lending loss forecasts to support pro-active commercial decision making to maximise overall portfolio contribution;
• Keep up to date with regulatory changes and industry best practice impacting Credit Risk. What you will have for the role of Credit Risk Manager:
• Proven in depth understanding of credit risk management in a financial services environment, including bad debt forecasting principles, techniques and loss provision model building;
• Self-motivation, leadership and organisation;
• A passion for structure and process and be able build strong relationships between credit risk and the wider business;
• A high level of integrity and attention to detail, be logical, analytical, and methodical;
• A natural curiosity that means you thrive on leading others in identifying risks and opportunities, providing great insight to the wider business in a simple easily understood way;
• You enjoy leading and supporting people on the approaches to risk management in a fun and understandable way, which ensures people understand their areas of accountability.
