We are currently looking for a Technical Compliance Officer to join a large, growing and prestigious Accident Repair/Vehicle Refurbishment Company based around the Reigate area. The position is to ensure the group operate in a legally compliant and ethical manner while meeting our business objectives. The job holder will take responsibility for assessing, identifying non-compliance and/or risk, evaluate and take remedial action to avoid reoccurrence. Main Responsibilities and Duties BSI The sites work in accordance with BS10125, which focuses on Personnel, Equipment, Methods and Materials; by working with the site management it is the responsibility of the compliance officer to ensure all work is carried out in accordance with BS10125 and access to up to date certificates is the responsibility of the Compliance Office in conjunction with staff on site. General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) To take full ownership of GDPR compliance across all businesses and become the DPO. Take responsibility of any and all dealings with the ICO. Work closely with our IT suppliers and managers to ensure all GDPR requirements are met and constantly monitor adherence. Work closely with our partners to ensure they have the information they require. Data Privacy Impact Assessments - where are the potential leaks of data within our company? Assist in training for all staff Health & Safety The Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 imposes a statutory duty on employers to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable the health, safety and welfare at work of all their employees. This duty also extends to others who may be affected by the employer's undertakings (work activity) e.g. contractors, tenants, neighbours, visitors and members of the public. The Compliance role will assess the risk to the health and safety of the employees and to anyone else who may be affected by the work activity so that the necessary preventative and protective steps can be identified, and remedial action is taken. Other tasks: Paper and electronic file maintenance for all the above responsibilities Site visits to ensure compliance Communication with internal and external Customers and Suppliers Monitoring and maintaining logs for PPE & RPE Organise annual Health surveillance checks for appropriate staff and take remedial action in conjunction with HR.
