Our client a leading regional firm of Solicitors are currently looking for a Compliance manager to join their Thames Valley operations on a part-time basis. You will be responsible for ensuring the Company satisfies all relevant requirements set out by the Solicitors Regulation Authority together with any additional regulators in relation to compliance matters, including but not limited to:
• Developing, implementing and maintaining compliance procedures, systems and processes.
• Ensuring a culture of regulatory compliance across all branches in relation to procedures, systems and processes.
• Having responsibility for the role of designated complaints hander.
• Monitoring, recording and reporting any compliance breaches as required by the SRA and other relevant regulatory bodies.
• Maintaining the Company's compliance training programme in order to ensure that all staff are aware of their individual responsibility in relation to risk and compliance.
• Keeping up to date with sector changes and ensuring updated policies and procedures are shared across all the branches. You will have the ability to work effectively and efficiently as part of a team, collaborating as necessary with IT, HR and the Company's COFA. You will be well organised and will display a high level of attention to detail and accuracy. Good IT skills are required and the ideal candidate will demonstrate practical knowledge of Microsoft Office and any relevant case management software. You will have previously been appointed as COLP and must be a qualified lawyer in England & Wales. Generous package to include private healthcare, life assurance and pension benefits.
