Insurance Credit Controller Chelmsford, Essex Initial Fixed Term Contract - 12 Months To start ASAP To £25,000 d.o.e. Working in the Chelmsford office of a global insurance company including a Lloyds syndicate platform. You will support the Lead Credit Controller in the collection of premiums, cash allocation and monitoring of designated accounts to reduce the potential of bad debt through both intermediaries and direct clients. Collection and Accounting of Due Debt Through collation and capture of all due premium debt, effect the effective collection of all unpaid premium debt. In doing so identify any cleansing issues and liaising with underwriting units to resolve accordingly. Ensure the collection of all due debt through processes that are in accordance with established collection and escalation guidelines. Ensuring effective allocation / accounting of all debt / cash received. Debt Monitoring/Analysis To monitor account specific debt cycles highlighting to the Lead Credit Controller and highlight potential issues, deviances or fluctuations in cycles. Thus assisting in the management of credit risk. Reporting To support the reporting of actual debt / unallocated cash levels / future collectables, with trend analysis results issued across the team and established communication routes. Including but not restricted to: Weekly Underwriter / Binder Manager Updates / DD reports. This will ensure group clarity on debt and cash, issues and cycles. Relationship Management Maintain regular communication with internal customers both to report progress and to escalate issues. Represent the company professionally to external intermediaries whether by face to face, phone or e-mail communication. Project Work To assist as designated to Credit Risk related projects. Candidates will have gained some experience within an insurance environment role for either a (re)insurance company, syndicate, MGA or broker. Experience and knowledge of Lloyds/London market processes and electronic transaction through Lloyds platforms would be ideal, but not essential.
