My client is a growing family business, working with SME's all over the North East of England to offer customers a part time, outsourced finance department. Their strong reputation is built on their ability to offer a quality service with the view to improving profitability and efficiency and always adding value The Accountant role is very varied and the successful candidate will work with multiple clients to provide a range of accountancy functions, including some or all of the following: Management Accounts Year End Accounts & Corporation tax returns Self-Assessment tax returns Internal finance reviews Process setup and improvement Bookkeeping and VAT returns Payroll To be considered for the role, applicants will have a minimum qualification of AAT and must be comfortable working alone in client businesses, managing their own diary and having the ability to self-review.Highly professional in their manner, they will have excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, as well as having strong technical accountancy and bookkeeping skills.Attention to detail and strong problem solving skills are critical. Knowledge of payroll is preferable but not essential as training will be given. Experience with a range of accountancy software, especially cloud based software is essential, as is proficiency in Excel. Ideally the candidate will have the following experience: Working in an accountancy practice Hands on experience of double-entry bookkeeping Experience of developing and implementing new systems or procedures Be able to work unsupervised for periods of time Used to working to deadlines The successful candidate will be joining the business at an exciting time, with a new structure being created and plans for further growth beyond the well established client base in the pipeline.
