As a Senior Credit Controller as well as all the duties of a Credit Controller you will also have additional responsibility to help support team performance on a day to day basis. The team should be focused on high collection rates through proactive outbound calling to meet both call and cash collection targets. You will support the Team Leader through leadership by example as well as being the first port of call for assistance when required by Credit Controllers. Covering our late shift, the hours for this role are 11.30am to 20.00pm Monday to Friday Key responsibilities Handling all forms of inbound and outbound communications. Dealing with escalated calls where Advisor needs additional support or authority. Supporting Advisors by taking ownership of query resolution, liaising with both internal departments and external customers whilst communicating feedback to Advisors. Providing training and support to Advisors working with them to improve their knowledge and skills. Management of accounts where there is insolvency both commercial and consumer. Proactively work to KPIs to ensure that all agreed objectives are met. These will predominately be around call and cash collection targets. Ensure that a high standard of financial control is applied to all processes and that the controls in place will stand up to scrutiny from Internal and External Audit. Flexibility and knowledge of systems and process change. Ability to cover multiple shift patterns between 8am and 8pm weekdays as required. Ability to build relationships at all levels, communicates effectively, build trust and influence stakeholders. Support the department management team by providing adequate cover when required. Essential skills & experience Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, report writing and presenting. Excellent time management, planning, organisational and delegation skills. Self-motivated. Highly competent in Microsoft Office. Develops others by sharing own experience and expertise. Effective Meetings. Experience in a previous Credit Control Role. Commercial awareness.
