An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Head of FP&A to join a leading Chester based business on a 12 Month fixed term basis. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced and growing business. Reporting to the CFO, your role will cover the following; Leadership and management of a small team of FP&A accountants, including appraisals, team meetings, one to one coaching - being able to demonstrate that you can motivate, support and challenge the team. Being able to provide leadership and management across the Heads of Department group of all aspects of financial management associates with running the operation and the business. Full accountability and delivery of the annual: 3 year plan; operating budget; estate review and year-end forecast. Being able to demonstrate a hands-on approach, being able to plan, lead and deliver significant projects to agreed timescales and being able to communicate effectively to all levels within the business. Responsible for ensuring all weekly and monthly information and reporting is produced: on time; to exacting standards; drives decision making through insightful review/challenge/commentary. Ensuring that all MI and reports are fit for purpose Work with the IT Manager to introduce developments and enhancements to the accounting systems and data warehouse and reporting processes. Ensure systems work to required specification and accuracy prior to going live and taking care of day to day management, To manage the delivery of the capex programme through the FP&A team by; developing a close working relationship with Directors an Heads of Departments.; providing support and challenge into the delivery/production of investment appraisals; working with the Group FC to ensure that the accounting for capex is fit for purpose; regular ad-hoc reporting with insightful commentary around post investment returns to shape future capex deployment; and ownership of cashflow forecasting relating to capex. Work with the Managing Director to evolve and adapt current reporting to the changing needs of the Operations teams and ensure timely and insightful information is presented at the Operations and regional team meetings in order to aid informed decision making and highlight areas of focus. To be able to demonstrate that you have the ability and skills to fully participate with and add value to the CFO in any future corporate financing activity - including refinancing, acquisitions and change of ownership or other activities from time to time. To be considered, you should be a CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified accountant with at least 5 years PQE, and be able to demonstrate a depth to your working experience in an accounting environment. You should be able to lead and develop a small team, and be able to demonstrate strong delegation skills. You should have excellent communication skills; you should be able to present financial information in a clear insightful and meaningful manager. Experience of reviewing and writing Board papers is essential. You will be energetic by nature and thrive under the pressure of change and continuous business growth an development.
