Axon Moore is exclusively representing a Group of Private Equity backed businesses based in Manchester City Centre as they look to appoint a Part Qualified Accountant to join their Group function. The group team is lean, consisting of the board and senior finance team, with the businesses within the Group's portfolio operating autonomously. This role will work closely with the entrepreneurs, Managing Directors and Finance Directors of businesses within the Group, acting as a business partner alongside the Groups CFO and FC. This an extremely rare opportunity for an up and coming, entrepreneurial and very ambitious Part Qualified Accountant. A key component of this role will be to provide commercial insight with responsibility for performance reporting and will require a "hands on" approach and the adaptability to respond to regular project work driven by positive business transformation. The role will also play a key role in supporting M&A activity as the business pursues an aggressive M&A strategy and will work closely with external tax and corporate finance advisers as well as the bank. Other duties will include; - Working closely alongside and supporting the FC - Supporting the wider finance team in delivering management accounts for the group companies - Potential to have ownership for one of these entities and build the reporting pack from scratch - Assist and provide cover for group cashflow - Portfolio valuation reporting for the owner of the group The role provides the opportunity for the successful candidate to evolve and grow with the company under the mentorship of a high-calibre CFO and FC, with ever increasing responsibility. This role will suit an ambitious and driven part qualified accountant who has a clear plan for the rest of their studies. It requires a self-starter who can use their initiative and is able to manage their time effectively in order to work on multiple projects at any one time. There is scope to grow into the role and ultimately take on more responsibility as the group pursues its M&A strategy. Essential to this role is a good knowledge of a P&L and BS at single entity and consolidated level; strong excel knowledge with the ability to solves different problems and analyse large data sets by deploying various formulas and techniques.
