Robert Walters permanent division are currently working with a fast growing dynamic business based in Hertfordshire to recruit for a Group Financial Manager. This role will suit an ACA qualified candidate with 10 years PQE and someone with a keen interest in technical accounting advancements and its implications in practice Your responsibilities for this role will include: Taking responsibility for the year end and half year end financial reporting processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting output in accordance with IFRS Overall responsibility for the timing and accurate preparation of all financial information in the annual report Overseeing the preparation of information for the year end audit and the interim review Responsibility for the audit process, ensure deadlines are met and accurate information is provided to the Group's auditors on time Overseeing the preparation of the financial statements for the Group's subsidiaries and ensure filing deadlines are met Overseeing the preparation of monthly control packs as part of the month end process Overseeing the preparation of the quarterly KPI information required for external reporting and liaising with key stakeholders such as Finance Director, Group Financial Controller and Investor Relations Provide technical training within finance and outside of finance Supporting technical updates and papers to the Audit Committee Formulating accounting policy, in conjunction with the financial reporting accountant, providing technical advice and guidance to the rest of the business in relation to IFRS accounting treatments of various matters (including advising the business in relation to new commercial contracts) Managing the performance and development of the financial reporting team (current 3 direct reports, 1 PT report) Supporting the commercial team in the preparation of monthly, quarterly or budget/forecast information where required Accounting for the Group's share schemes, advising on treatment of these schemes, including the employee's benefit trust Reviewing and approval of expenses and payments Support ad hoc initiatives such as implementing better financial controls If this role is of interest please send your updated CV to This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/86555545
