THE ROLE The Finance Business Partner will work within a small team to provide robust performance reporting and analysis and financial planning as well as providing information on a variety of aspects for the RATP DEV London business. This is a very diverse role for someone looking to step straight into an analytical and business focused role. The successful candidate will be confident and capable of building strong working relationships with the non-finance Garage Managers, their staff and other stakeholders and build credibility and trust by providing high quality support and advice. This role will be based in South West London with travel to Garages in the area. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Finance business partner to garages within the London group.
• Improving finance understanding within the business, assisting budget holders in understanding spend and variances to forecast.
• Improving data capture and reporting across the business. Looking at processes, accuracy, timeliness and completeness.
• Development of reporting including weekly flash reports, SUS pay reports and use of the QlikView reporting tool.
• Period end meetings with the business units to support variance analysis.
• Financial modelling for business proposals, pay reviews etc.
• Financial support to transformation and other key business projects.
• Ownership of route profitability modelling.
• Ownership of tender modelling.
• Working in partnership to develop and implement processes to automate, improve and optimise business information within the UK group.
• Work within the Finance Business Partner team to improve skills and knowledge and sharing best practice. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: Essential
• ACA/CIMA/ACCA fully qualified or equivalent. Experience in providing a comprehensive business partnering service to a wide and dynamic range of stakeholders.
• Commercially minded with an ability to influence projects and business decisions.
• Experience of communicating and building relationships with non-finance stakeholders.
• Evidence of taking ownership and ability to prioritise and deal with a wide range of activities while meeting tight deadlines.
• Robust financial modelling skills and experience.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; looking at large amounts of data to identify trends, producing meticulous results whilst working under pressure.
• Able to proactively identify opportunities to improve and drive them through to completion, monitoring own performance against expected outcomes
• Advanced PC skills, extensive knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent organisational skills and time management.
• Ability to demonstrate strong leadership skills and development of less experienced team members. Desired
