Reed Accountancy are delighted to recruit for this top Accountancy firm in the area. Working within a family feel organisation, with friendly and reputable clients. The purpose of the role is to prepare un-audited and Non-incorporated Accounts on behalf of our clients in order for Accounts and Tax Computations/Returns to be filed in accordance with all appropriate laws and regulations. The successful candidate will also be assisting with audit assignments. The role will also involve Book-keeping services for various clients, all within the Ipswich area. Main Duties &
Responsibilities:
o Accounts Reconciliations, calculations of relevant provisions and preparation of appropriate schedules, working papers o Use of Computerised Accounts software in order to produce Companies Act formatted Accounts o Assist on audit assignments o Bookkeeping, accounts reconciliation work and maintaining ledgers using various software. o Preparation & calculation of VAT returns including the responsibility of filing the VAT returns including the responsibility of filing the VAT returns at HMRC on time o Offer training, support and guidance to more junior members of staff throughout various procedures and use of various programs o Compiling various correspondence to various sources including Clients, HM Revenue and Customs, Banks & Companies House o Extensive use of Microsoft Word documents and excel spreadsheets including various formulae/tables as necessary Hours: 9.00 to 5.30 Mon - Thurs, 8.30 to 5.00 Friday Knowledge & Skills:
• Essential:
• Computer Literacy, using Microsoft Packages, Sage Line 50, Cloud accounting software packages
• Detailed knowledge of various laws and regulations throughout different areas of auditing and accounting in order to ensure that work is performed to the required standards and deadlines.
• Ability to maintain excellent relations with clients and to act in a professional manner at all times when dealing with clients.
