Our practice is based in North East and Central Fife. Clients consist of sole traders, partnerships, Ltd companies and LLPs. Due to steady growth, the firm are looking to bring in a dynamic, driven and passionate Accounts Assistant with a desire to make a real difference. You will be preparing and producing statutory accounts as well as assisting in the production of management accounts. The firm are firmly focused on providing cloud based accounting software to their clients and providing the relevant support, therefore you will be using a variety of software on a daily basis. What you'll need to succeed: You will need to come from a similar role within practice and have experience in managing a portfolio of clients. You will be competent using a variety of accounting software systems such as Sage, Xero, Quickbooks etc. and will be comfortable in a client facing role. You can be 'qualified by experience' or part-qualified (ACCA/ACA/CA or equivalent). What you'll get in return: You will be offered a competitive salary working full time over 4 days. Accounts preparation work for all client types, ensuring the accuracy of completed accounts being provided to clients. This includes all aspects of the accounting process from both manual and computerised records. Planning and scheduling work to ensure that it is completed on time and within budget. Ensuring that all client information is obtained timeously, and all filling deadlines are met. Presenting managers with complete sets of accounts with minimal queries. Clearing review points and making adjustments to accounts. Building and maintaining client relationships. Keeping technically up to date. Skills and Competencies: It is essential that you have worked in an Accountancy Firm/Practice environment for 3 years. Experience of accounts preparation Good time management and the ability to meet multiple deadlines Good organisational and administrative skills Attention to detail and analytical skills IT literate including advanced Excel and preferably knowledge of Quickbooks, Xero and Sage
