My client are a Multi Billion turnover media business. With huge growth, exciting products / services and a vibrant and buzzing working culture they offer excellent worklife balance, plenty of opportunity to progress and an reputation for developing their staff. A once in a lifetime opportunity for a high potential financial analyst studying towards their CIMA / ACCA has arisen within their Slough HQ. The role sits within the central financial planning and reporting team. The purpose of the position is to prepare key financial information, planning and actual reporting, supporting senior members of the team on strategic initiatives and ad-hoc project work. Responsibilities will include: Assisting with financial planning and budgeting on a rolling monthly basis. Analyse actual financial results against forecast performance on a monthly basis. Preparation of variance reports and analyses that comment on the underlying commercial reasons for the variances against prior forecast and budget. Assist in the cross currency consolidation process across the International footprint. Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts Completion of quarterly financial disclosure reporting to meet external requirements SOX compliance Support key business initiatives by tracking and analysing financial effectiveness Flexibility to deliver ad-hoc financial projects Succesful candidates will be: Studying towards professional qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) an advantage 2:1 Degree or above in an analytical discipline Strong spreadsheet analysis skills (Excel) Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with senior management Flexible with the ability to work to tight deadlines Experience in a relevant discipline desirable Knowledge of reporting processes and systems (TM1) Analytical with a 'questioning' mentality to review reporting unit submissions and variance reports A strong, robust character Potential to develop For more information / confidential chat or to apply please contact Josh MacDonnell on or email
