Based out of our head office and reporting to our CFO. This role has full responsibility for ensuring there is rigorous control and efficiency across all transactional processes, including billing, purchase ledger & expenses, credit control. You will be a commercially aware, customer-focused, self-starter with a proactive approach to continually improving process and performance, and the leadership skills to lead, coach and develop teams to do the same. Responsibilities within the role will include: Operational excellence To manage the billing, credit control, purchase ledger and supplier management teams to deliver right first time and to deadline and to optimise working capital management Undertake to continuously improve the effectiveness of the Transactional Accounting function by pro-actively identifying and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness wherever possible Take ownership for the design of robust and comprehensive process flows for all key business areas Engaged and motivated people To lead, coach and develop the team (3 direct reports, c20 in total) to maximise their potential Ensure the team delivers a first class internal and external customer service Profitable growth Contribute to efficiency and cost saving requirements across the business to ensure the Alcumus Group's long-term competitiveness Customer satisfaction Ensure the function reports on KPIs and meets SLAs for internal customers, including 5 Business Units, Central Functions and other teams in Finance Build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders to ensure the department acts as an enabler to wider business growth Remuneration: Up to £45K basic salary 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays) which increases with length of service Generous Pension Healthcare Life Assurance (3x Basic Salary) Company bonus scheme Free parking on-site Access to our employee benefits platform Alcumus are Equal Opportunity and Diversity Employers.
