Part Time Payroll Manager & Bookkeeper, c.20 hours per week, flexible pattern over 3-5 days, £14 per hour, permanent contract with guaranteed hours, family friendly relaxed team culture based in Tring. Ref: 2289 The Client Our client is a well-established Tring-based Accountancy Practice. Working with a range of local businesses, they pride themselves on providing a professional, pro-active service tailored to their clients' needs. Their approachable and friendly working style means that they have a growing practice. They fully embrace flexible working and the majority of the small team work part-time. The Role This Payroll Manager & Bookkeeper role will primarily be responsible for?focusing?on processing payroll for approximately 100 clients of small businesses (often about 5 employees). However, you will also be assisting with other areas of bookkeeping as they are a busy practice so the role will provide a variety of tasks. At present the split is 80% payroll and 20% bookkeeping but it's envisaged that bookkeeping responsibilities could grow depending on what the ideal candidate is seeking. Main duties &
responsibilities:
Managing and processing month end payrolls on SagePayroll including submissions to HMRC Calculating SSP, SMP and SPP Production and submission of statutory forms, including P45s, P46s and P60s Completing all year end requirements in line with HMRC regulations, including the issuing of P60 and P11d forms Dealing with any HMRC queries in relation to payroll Addressing any incorrect payments, discrepancies or overpayments Compilation of monthly reports, including pension reporting Filing/Archiving of payroll information Developing strong rapport with clients and good working relationships so that relevant information can be obtained in a timely and efficient manner to meet deadlines Bookkeeper duties may include some of the following: Double-entry bookkeeping to Trial Balance
