A regionally celebrated and successful institution is looking for a new Finance Manager as part of a new initiative aimed at driving forward what is already a established finance department. The business is looking for an experienced and dependable individual to take up this varied position in their Chesterfield location. This is a real mix of a role. On the one hand, you will have oversight of the financial controls and reporting. You will work in collaboration with the Group Accountant and the FBP to ensure the production of the monthly management accounts - including undertaking the review and analysis. You will review the balance sheet, and act as the key point of contact for the audit. You will approve all aspects of the external financial reporting and ensure the cash balances are maximised. That is the more technical side. On the other hand, you will be business partnering with key budget holders within the group, providing analysis and commentary on the budgets as well as providing rolling reforecasts. You will need to be comfortable providing training to non-finance members of staff so they can empower them to control their own work. You will manage a small but extremely able team, and join an office full of personable and welcoming colleagues.
