This high profile, market-leading Cambridge business is experiencing significant growth creating the need to strengthen their finance team with the addition of Projects Finance Business Partner on an interim basis. Reporting to the Divisional Head of Finance, this is an outward-facing, highly visible role and will be working with senior external and internal stakeholders at Director level. As such, you must be able to demonstrate the ability to build professional relationships with key decision makers and be able to support the board at a strategic level. The role will be responsible for supporting a range of projects and will work in partnership with the Project Delivery team to ensure full and accurate reporting of each project's current and predicted financial performance and to provide the team with real time support. The post-holder will work with the team to create accurate, timely and clear project financial budgets and monthly re-forecasts and will have joint accountability with the Project Manager for the accuracy of these forecasts. This role is also responsible for the monthly financial reporting and balance sheet management for each project and will communicate this data in a manner that is understandable to a non-financial audience. You will be a fully qualified accountant with experience of working within a project accounting role, preferably from within a large complex organisation. You will have a proven track record in delivering successful project on time and in budget and will possess the ability to effectively manage competing priorities and solving complex problems autonomously. Whilst the role is initially being recruited on an interim basis, there is scope that for the right candidate, this could lead to a permanent role.
