Description

This role Assistant Accountant (retail) invovles:

  • Supporting the finance department, accountant, and wider management team
  • Daily Invoice Finance notifications and reconciliations to UK & US banks
  • Manage Key Account Customers Credit Control incl. Amazon accounts for UK, USA & International, manage through customer portals
  • Customers Debit Note Management - including analysis, challenging and overturning these & monthly meetings with Customer Support team
  • Credit checking new account applications & set credit limits for new and existing customers using online service and advising of any issues.
  • Manage various inventory accounts and assist with monthly reconciliations
  • Maintaining purchase ledger and sales ledger accounts with monthly reconciliations
  • Monthly Sales agents and reps commission statements & Aged Debtor Reports for UK, Europe and USA
  • Monthly Sales Rebate Reports
  • Monthly EC Sales Reporting to HMRC
  • Monthly Petty Cash Account Reconciliation
  • Quarterly Royalty Reports to Licensors
  • Inter-company account reconciliations for cash and stock
    • Post all bank charges for US bank accounts
    • age through customer portals

    • Monthly Budget tracking, reporting & variance analysis

    • Assist with ad hoc financial reporting, including for Audits

    • Liaising with customer service team, account managers and agents/sales reps regarding any potential issues, arrange regular meetings

    • Provide support/cover to team during holidays/busy periods/projects

    • As the role grows, and with continuing business needs, tasks may change and new tasks may be added.
