Interim Financial Controller required for a government body with offices in Cheshire.

Our client is a governing body with offices in Cheshire. Due to expansion and growth they need support within the Finance function.
Your new role
Our client is looking for an Interim Financial Controller to come in and hit the ground running. This is a business critical role, You will be responsible for controlling the finance team and will be taking ownership of developing and implementing effective and appropriate finance & Procurement policies. You will oversee all month end procedures to make sure they are done on time and accurately. Alongside the management of the team you will also work closely with the Director of Finance in attending monthly meetings with budget holders as well as consistently looking at ways to improve the current internal procedures. You will be responsible for monitoring the performance of the finance team and implementing KPIS to get results. This is a really hands on interim Financial Controller post.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be suitably qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA and be able to hit the ground running and have experience of working in complex environments where you have implemented change. Ideally you will have looked after finance teams and any knowledge of working with procurement would be ideal. START ASAP.
