A leading higher education organisation who prides itself on its unique combination of innovation and tradition are recruiting for a maternity cover part time Bookkeeper. This organisation is in one of the most attractive parts of South West London and have been awarded for their excellent high standards and reputation.

Your new role
You will report into the Financial Controller and be responsible for the performing monthly control accounts and assist in the preparation of VAT and gift aid returns. You will also undertake financial administrative tasks, liaising with suppliers and branches including responding to enquiries. You will also be responsible for monitoring and reconciling branch income and expenses and manage the debtors recovery process.

What you'll need to succeed
It is essential candidates have a strong understanding of accounting and financial management processes and procedures. You will have a strong track record of working with finance with experience of taking accounts to trial balance and managing the ledgers. Previous experience of using Sage Line 50 will be advantageous. Candidates will have excellent processing skills and attention to detail with the initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision Candidate must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work methodically under pressure to prioritise and manage your time to meet deadlines.
