As Planning and Annual Report Manager you will manage and co-ordinate the preparation of the Group's Annual Report and assist with the planning and preparation of other FP&A reporting (information reported internally and externally). About the role You'll need extensive experience of Business Planning as you'll have involvement in the Group's planning activitiy, which includes the annual full business plan process (for the medium term plan), the STS reforecast, and any other reforecasts that are needed throughout the year. This will involve co-ordination with each of the respective BU teams and CFOs, and working closely with the Head of Strategy throughout the STS process. You'll also have involvement in the preparation of the Business Plan and STS packs for submission and approval to the Group Board. You'll ensure all plan and forecast numbers are correctly uploaded and reflected in HFM. As well as managing regular interaction with the Strategy and Investor Relations teams, including the submission of information to them. As well as this you'll look after analysis of the Group's performance versus plan and forecast, for inclusion in monthly Board reports. You'll have responsibility for the management and co-ordination of the full Annual Report and Accounts, working closely with the IR, Strategy, Risk, Communications, Company Secretarial and Marketing teams to ensure all sections are owned and completed. You'll take ownership and production of the sections owned by the FP&A team (i.e. KPIs, Business Model, Strategy, Financial Review, etc) and will assist in managing the relationship with the design agency throughout the full Annual Report preparation process. You'll work closely with Company Secretarial team to manage postage of Annual Report to shareholders as required and provide necessary updates to the Audit Committee. You'll be involved in both internal and external FP&A reporting, assist with the preparation of the reporting requirements as and when required, which include preparation of: Monthly MI pack for Exco and Board External News Releases Quarterly trading updates Financial Disclosure Supplement, which includes quarterly analysis on Gross Sales, NCCF, AuMA, Revenue, income statement analysis, asset allocation and investment performance Alongside this you will answer questions from external parties including market analysts and credit rating agencies, undertake and assist with ad hoc project work and deliverables when required. These may include; Market analysis Analyst/Briefing note review and analysis Covering BU responsibilities in the event of holiday or capacity issues About you You'll be motivated and keen to make a difference, offering clear communication skills (both written and verbal) and excellent attention to detail. You'll have the ability to build relationships with senior people across the business and chair and present at meetings, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with others, and has confidence to provide challenge when necessary. You'll be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with 5 years PQE. Financial services experience would be advantageous. You'll need experience of working in a reporting role for a listed group, ideally within an FP&A or equivalent function, or having worked for a Big 4 firm with exposure to listed group reporting requirements and Annual Reports. You'll need the ability to apply technical accounting knowledge and skills in a commercial way (i.e. ability to tell the company's story and how it has performed whilst adhering to best practice guidelines and accounting rules) as well as experience with data analysis and modelling, strong excel skills (intermediate level or better) and good power point skills.
