Senior Accounts Clerk My client is looking for a Senior Accounts Clerk to join their small but dynamic team and assist in daily bookkeeping and accounting duties. They are part of a larger group of companies and provide accounting and administration services to both group companies and external clients. The successful candidate will be a vital part of the transactional finance team. As an Accounts Clerk you will enjoy putting your accounting knowledge into practice, majoring on high attention to detail & working with both pace and integrity. Your work will be varied, making each day different & interesting and you will enjoy having a number of colleagues at a similar point in their career to work alongside. Job description: Bookkeeping on Xero and/or Sageone and excel spreadsheets Experience of drafting full accounts Bank reconciliations Preparation of monthly management accounts Use of Microsoft Excel worksheets Analyse financial data Regular contact with clients by telephone and in person Help prepare financial information and ensure the accuracy of financial data Check financial records for accuracy, ensuring activities are carried out in accordance with agreed procedures. Preparation of information and reports for internal and external use Working as part of a flexible team the post holder will undertake the following duties: Purchase Ledger process: Input supplier invoices including coding entries for VAT and expense type Check invoices to supplier statements Sales Ledger process: Generate invoices Follow up unpaid items Process journal
