We have around 250 staff working throughout the country, with our head office based in Glasgow. Reporting to the Finance Services Manager, the Accounts Assistant will be part of a busy Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable team; supporting the wider finance team to ensure thorough processing of monthly accounts. The team have daily contact with suppliers, funeral directors and marketing agents to ensure all payments are made and cash allocated within the required Service Level Agreements. Key

Accounts Receivable Raising invoices Allocation of cash Processing direct debit runs Dealing with customer queries Accounts Payable Processing invoices Raising and matching of purchase orders Maintaining sales and purchase ledgers Processing of personal expenses Control of company credit cards and monthly reconciliation Processing of commission runs Dealing with supplier queries Credit Control Collection of outstanding debt Contacting customers regarding aged debt and arranging suitable payment plans Essential Skills: Previous experience within a finance environment Strong Excel skills Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Ability to prioritise and manage own workload High level of accuracy and attention to detail Proactive and flexible approach to work and changing priorities Desirable Skills: Previous experience in a fast paced Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable team Advanced knowledge of Microsoft packages Competitive benefits package Please select the APPLY NOW button and you will be redirected to our website.
