SF Recruitment are recruiting for a Payroll Supervisor to join a business based in Lincoln on a 6-12 Month contract. You will need to be immediately available for this role. As the Payroll Supervisor you will be expected to provide appropriate support and work closely with the Services to the team to assist in delivery of service and team outcomes. Ensuring there is a joined up approach at all times. Attend and take part in management meetings, contributing new ideas and potential problems as they arise. To be responsible for the development and performance of the payroll team. Develop skills and knowledge, implement and regularly review comprehensive and stretching performance targets at a team and individual level, ensuring processes are in place to monitor performance against these targets. Specific duties include: - Provide leadership to and day to day management of the payroll team and support the delivery of the service across the wider team. - Plan, implement and monitor workloads for the teams in a way that maximises the use of resources and ensures processes are efficient and effective. - Communicate changes to working practices and work processing requirements to the team and encourage all team members to develop and improve the service. - Ensure staff within the team are aware of standards, expectations and timescales and to establish clear lines of responsibility and accountability building trust, good morale and teamwork. - Provide specialist advice and support to the payroll team and problem solve to overcome complex day to day issues raised by the wider team. - Keep up to date with all relevant technical legislation and best practice. Ensuring that legislation and policy is accurately interpreted and applied and where necessary work with stakeholders and others to resolve queries - Be the lead Payroll and Pensions administration specialist on all matters - Be responsible for compliance with all internal and external control frameworks and audits - Be responsible for the interpretation and implementation of statutory legislative requirements, all reconciliations and Payroll and Pensions statutory returns to HMRC and other Government departments - Be responsible for reviewing cases on non-compliance with Payroll and Pensions regulations or service delivery failure, making recommendations for process and administrative changes as required - Responsible for ensuring the delivery of payroll and pensions output in accordance with statutory requirements and service level agreements with internal and external customers - Managing the income, including invoicing and initiating debt recovery where necessary - Sign off monthly payrolls and BACS as allocated - Lead and oversee the running of monthly and year end processes and returns for payroll and pensions, including HMRC returns, Teachers pensions and LGPS pension returns, meeting the required timescales and deadlines - Ensure reconciliation of all records in line with regulatory and legislative requirements - Ensure that data protection is applied to all employee records and exercise absolute integrity in respect of confidential matters and ensure that any specified procedures for ensuring the security and confidentially of information is always maintained - Respond to complex enquiries and complaints Please only apply if you have the relevant experience and are immediately available as this is a 6-12 Month contract.
