Our client is a growing business based in Ely, Cambridgeshire. They are looking for a financial controller, reporting directly in to the finance director, to join the company at an exciting time as they are planning to expand and grow the business. The successful financial controller will be offered competitive benefits on top of a generous salary package. The financial controller role will consist of supporting the finance director in implementing forecasting models as well as helping to design business strategy. The day to day tasks for this role will consist of preparation of company and group accounts, treasury functions, cash-flow forecasting and analysis of group finances. On top of these day to day duties the financial controller will also be the point of contact for external auditors and will prepare/ support the delivery of year end accounts. There will also be some adhoc project work as required to assist in the company expansion. The successful applicant for this position will be a qualified accountant who is looking for their next role in an expanding business, you will have strong excel skills, be able to generate reports in a timely manner and think laterally about improving current functions whilst introducing new ideas to improve business functions.
