The successful applicant will lead and deliver the timely and accurate production of the JV monthly accounts. This will involve the analysis and interpretation of the monthly accounts to identify the underlying trends in the business with the aim of driving operational efficiencies and improvements. They will also ensure that accounting procedures are in place and are in line with current accounting legislation and reflect good practice as well as supporting Regional Commercial managers with a finance business partnering relationship. The successful candidate will demonstrate solid financial acumen, project management skills and be confident to make decisions independently. They will need to use their initiative and be proactive in anticipating problems and have an analytical approach with an ability to recognise, investigate and resolve financial differences when they occur. Applicants will be qualified accountants with a UK recognised qualification, such as; ACA, ACCA, CIMA and have a high level of numeracy, strong analytical skills with an eye for detail. Ideally they will have construction industry experience and knowledge of contract forms such as for example, NEC Target Cost Contracts.
