Simpson Judge are recruiting on behalf of a well-established business for an experienced Finance Manager to join their Finance team in Uttoxeter. This role combines accounting and business management skills. The Role: Focusing on the preparation, development and analysis of financial information Analysis of the performance of the business and advising on how to prevent problems, adapt to changing circumstances and improve value Managing and reducing operational and production costs and implementing newer, more effective strategies Establishing and maintaining financial policies and management information systems, as well as provide a high-quality support service by liaising with management colleagues on all aspects of finance. Duties: Preparing periodic financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries to specific deadlines Monitoring and interpreting financial statements and predicting future trends Analysing change and advising accordingly Analysing, formulating and advising on strategic and long-term business plans and forecasts Offering professional judgement on financial matters and advising on ways of improving business performance Advising on the financial implications of business decisions Present financial reports to board members, stakeholders, executives, and clients in formal meetings Analysing competitors and market trends Developing financial management mechanisms that minimise financial risk Managing budgets by conducting reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities Preparation of data supporting pricing models, methodology and appropriate systems Managing financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems Negotiating on major projects, loans and grant Developing external relationships with appropriate contacts, e.g. auditors, solicitors, bankers and statutory organisations such as the HMRC Leading and mentoring the Finance Team Providing a support service by working with all departments and the management team Interpreting and communicating financial data to non-financial managers Skills & Experience: Business Accounting experience CIMA/ ACCA Qualified - 3 years PQE Sage Line 50 experience Practical knowledge of financial statutory legislation is desired This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/86424472
