Robert Half are currently working with an International Financial Services firm based in Canary Wharf London (E14), helping them source a French speaking Accountant for a 12 month assignment. Rate: £65,000 - £75,000 Role The Finance Manager, you shall have 2 direct reports and ensure accurate financial statements and the efficient financial operations within their function. Your responsibilities will include: Ensures an accurate and timely monthly close so that all financial reporting deadlines and control policies are met. Oversees outsourced accounting firms, as required, to ensure deliverables are consistent with the firms policies. Reviews and approves accounting entries, reconciliations and analyses based on the firms controls and US & French GAAP. Liaises with other departments to discuss and resolve US & French GAAP accounting implications related to accounting transactions, business developments, entity financial conditions, policy and procedures. Reviews reconciliations for French GAAP adjustments and alternate account mappings. Prepares financial sections for recurring and ad hoc regulatory reporting requirements across the EMEA region. Profile ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent qualified. Good understanding of French GAAP. Knowledge of Microsoft Office. Previous experience of Oracle, Peoplesoft or SAP preferable Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Fluency in French and English is essential.
