A fantastic opportunity has arisen within a £multimillion turnover leader in their field for an experienced Credit Risk Manager to join their offices near Warrington. Managing a small team, responsibilities will include: - Progress expand company credit strategy and risk profiles - Assessment of all accounts for credit facilities & agreement of limit based on Credit Search and external information - Ensuring agreement of new limits uploaded via the Credit Reference Agency, including re-assessment of overridden credit limits in line with credit policy - Liaising with Credit Management to ensure high risk and strict watch accounts trade to agreed maximum credit limits - Active monitoring and re-assessment of account limits & liaising with Credit Control, Sales and Litigation teams to agree actions where limits are exceeded due to non-payment of debt - Monitoring customer credit worthiness against outstanding exposure and payment behaviour - Working closely with the Legal team, provide recommendations on litigation action & strategy to achieve the highest return and advise if debt is economical to pursue; utilising tracing skills to enforce - Monitoring and assessment of accounts through periodic assessment & portfolio analysis - Analysing financial data such as balance sheets, P&L, cash flows & forecast's, whilst training others to do so - Lead, motivate and develop team members through mentoring and coaching - Conducting effective employee 1-2-1's on a regular basis - Managing employee relations and disciplinary issues Essential - Self -motivated and conscientious. - Excellent Communicator - Excellent time Management skills - Excellent organisational and communication skills - Customer Service excellence - Development of personal and professional qualifications as deemed necessary - Flexibility in all areas of the role - Excellent Negotiation Skills - Excellent Interpersonal skills - Capable of developing resilient client relationships - High level of integrity and trust - Ability to work effectively under pressure - Able to travel nationally Desirable - Committed and target / action focused - Excellent customer objection handling and telephone skills - Flexibility in all areas of the role - Highly Experienced in all areas of the Credit Lifecycle including Vetting, Monitoring, Collections, Legal, Risk & Fraud This is an outstanding opportunity to join a market leading business, working in a friendly and supportive environment and with excellent prospects for the successful applicant.
