The individual will be required to interact with senior stakeholders across the business with the provision of information to support decision making for the Group Executive Committee and boards and provide financial input to strategic projects / initiatives. They will need to be able to develop and manage the core FP&A processes enhancing the underlying procedures that support the analysis and reporting of plan and actual information and guiding and leading the underlying team. The role will be responsible for managing, monitoring and reporting of all financial management information within the FP&A team to support: Manage the process for the production of Group MI (monthly / quarterly) Develop a solid understanding of the organisations financial performance having a clear grasp of the underlying insurance / reinsurance accounting and investment results to provide commentary Manage the maintenance and development of the Group planning and forecasting model Oversee the production of Credit Committee materials and participate in ad hoc reviews. Coordination of the quarterly rating agency model analysis looking to enhance the delivery process. Help develop process improvements and enhance reporting enabling streamlined FP&A production and reporting including development of Finance MI data into reporting. Monitoring financial performance against identified benchmarks Maintain oversight of the geographical and legal entity view of results, plans and forecasts. The right candidate for this role will need to display excellent analytical skills with the ability to go beyond the numbers and understand key business and performance drivers. A qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) is strongly preferred and you will have gained several years PQE in a non-life insurance business.
