Our client is a well-respected, long established, family owned construction business based in Stockport and are looking for a Part Time Book Keeper to join their small team. They provide contracting services to the likes of local authorities, healthcare providers, property developers, volume housebuilders and office landlords alike. They cover both supply and supply/install of their products as well as supply only to their client base. They are looking to strengthen their accounts support and as such, are needing a part time book keeper to help support the smooth running of the accounts function within the business. This role would suit someone who is looking for approx 24 hours per week and they can offer days and hours to suit your circumstances in principle. It is essential that you are proficient in Xero accounts and are able to do all accounts based tasks on Xero as well as having experience within a construction accounts environment. Main duties to include: Xero accounts Xero Payroll Sales/Purchase ledger Bank reconciliation Payments Sub-contractor payments Invoicing Reconcile statements Banking VAT CIS Tax PAYE Tax Reports to HMRC Financial accounts via Xero accounting software Management reporting and analysis Contribute to client interaction and promote positive working relationships Help maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing company policies and procedures in accordance with legal obligations Other duties as appropriate We are looking for: Fully proficient in Xero accounts software Experience/knowledge of the building/construction industry in an accounting capacity is essential IT literate - Microsoft Office Highly organised with excellent time management skills Enthusiastic and self-motivated Good communication skills both over the phone and face to face Happy to undertake a variety of tasks as typically needed in a small business as well as general office admin work Able to work in a methodical and timely way Excellent work ethic and attitude towards work Genuine desire to work in a small team and play a big part In return you can expect:

Salary:
