Assistant Management Accountant - Alfreton - £25,000 - £35,000 Chase & Holland are working closely with this recognised business in the Alfreton area looking for a dynamic Assistant Management Accountant. You will need to be a naturally hardworking and inquisitive. This role interacts with a number of individuals in the business both at the same level as you and more senior management. Confident communication skills are essential as you will be expected to speak to people face to face and in meetings. The ability to speak to non finance individuals about their P&L's will also form part of the role. The successful candidate will be either AAT qualified and looking to commence studies towards ACCA or CIMA or maybe a graduate who is due to start/has started studying ACCA/CIMA. Study support forms part of the role. Ideally you will have used SAP before although this isn't a prerequisite. Intermediate Excel knowledge is an essential requirement, however. Responsibilities:
Assist with the production of monthly accounts, including the preparation of overheads; accruals, prepayments, depreciation & any other postings and adjustments required The monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts Monthly analysis and commentary of overheads, including performance v prior periods and v budgets, with large variances investigated. To produce monthly portfolio of sales slides for Sales Directors and their meetings. Production and distribution of Daily Sales & Production report for all directors. Responsibility for all aspects of Capital Expenditure Involvement in preparation of information for interim and annual external audits Key Requirements and Preferences: The successful candidate will ideally have experience gained within a commercial finance department, strong academic qualifications looking to develop their career. Studying towards a recognised professional accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) Strong IT skills, proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word with experience of SAP A team player, you will be able self-motivated, flexible and able to work well within a team Excellent time management skills In return you'll receive: Study support and genuine chance to progress and develop on the job.
