A business services organisation based not far from Tottenham Court Road, is seeking an ASSISTANT MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT to join them during an exciting period of growth THE ROLE Preparing and completing month-end reporting requirements in a timely manner, including: Reconciling monthly Travel & Events gross profit. Reconciling multiple balance sheet accounts. Liaising with international offices on intercompany billing and loans. Reconciling monthly intercompany accounts. Posting of foreign exchange journals. Processing credit rebills for the Travel & Events department. Completing regular (monthly/quarterly/annual) business surveys and travel accreditation submissions. Preparing and distributing monthly finance presentation and management pack for leadership meetings. Liaising with UK departments to monitor and review inventory positions on a quarterly basis. Reporting on Marketing budget (monthly) and HR budget (quarterly). Calculating TOMS figures (travel industry VAT scheme) and recording accruals and billings. Processing agency fees on a monthly basis. Supporting on and recording building cost & rates information. TEAMWORK: Providing day-to-day support to the Finance Manager and wider team. Being the champion of great service internally and externally, promoting a best in class approach. Seeking opportunities to work with other departments (focusing on Travel & Events) to increase knowledge and understanding of Media and Barter industries. Keeping manager up-to-date with team achievements, strengths and issues they should be made aware of. GENERAL: Assisting and partnering with colleagues on team and company-wide projects. Liaising with international offices and head office to resolve queries, where necessary. Working towards completion of accounting qualification e.g. ACCA/CIMA. Performing other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned to you from time to time THE IDEAL CANDIDATE Experience within management accounting. A desire for a career in accounting, ideally part qualified. Ability to pick up knowledge and understanding of systems efficiently. Numerate and logical mindset with strong Excel skills. Positive can-do attitude. Personal drive & initiative and works well in a fast-paced environment. Ability to prioritise their own workload and meet deadlines accordingly. Excellent attention to detail and an excellent communicator. Effective at working alone and in a team. Competent in Word.
