My client an exciting, award-winning and fast growing group of innovative hospitality companies are seeking a Management Accountant who comes with a commercial and Continuous improvement mind-set. The Role This role will be responsible for the financial and management reporting for 5 companies and will report to the Group Financial Controller. The position will also provide important commercial support for the leaders of each of the companies, providing MI, insight and commercial acumen so that they can deliver their growth plans. Produce month-end management accounts for 5 of the companies within the Group Review performance and analyse monthly P&L variances against budget Develop efficient month-end processes and system improvements Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for TB review Prepare quarterly VAT returns Prepare year-end statutory accounts, including consolidated financial statements Assist the leadership team to prepare annual budgets Calculate monthly sales commission payable Assist weekly cash flow forecasting Produce other ad hoc weekly/monthly financial reports as required Partner with other areas of the business to identify EBITDA enhancing opportunities Assist with external investment modelling and due diligence CA, ACCA or CIMA (part-qualified/finalist) University degree within a financially-related subject would be advantageous Self-motivated and focused with the ability to work unsupervised and to tight deadlines Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills Strong ability to work within a team and supervise junior members as required Logical approach to problem solving Continuous improvement mindset Good organisational and prioritisation skills Strong systems/processes background with excellent Excel skills - sumifs, pivot tables and vlookups are essential Sage 200 experience preferable Experience within the travel industry preferable, but not essential
