Credit Controller - Brentwood - Free Parking - Temp2Perm
Your new company
You will be working for a business that is growing based in Brentwood. You will be reporting to a Financial Controller that has been at the business for 10+ years therefore when you join you will be supported by someone that really understands the business and finance department.
The business is looking to recruit a Credit Controller on a temporary2permanent basis. You will get the opportunity to trial the job whilst working in on a temporary basis and should you want to commit to the job, it will be offered on a permanent basis after the trial period.
Your new role
This role would be responsible for ledger up to 300 customers, ensuring DSO maintained at an acceptable level and in line with KPI's. Post all payments received to the customer accounts and allocate against the appropriate invoices. Processing new account requests, including preparing credit information, checking insurance is in place and updating the customer and business once opened. Manage all pre-pay accounts, including raising pro-forma invoices and chasing the customer for payment.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be a sole-charge credit controller with experience from working in an SME size business from within any industry (candidates with only financial services industry experience are welcome to apply but are less likely to be shortlisted). If you have an accounting qualification it would be advantageous but is not essential.
Ideally, you will possess:
Strong administrative skills and able to prioritise work
Excellent verbal, written and electronic communication skills.
Good understanding of MS packages such as Outlook Excel (Vlookup) and Word.
Excellent level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Confident, professional and outgoing personality
High level of self- motivation and commitment
Ability to work to tight deadlines and specified standards.

What you'll get in return
Pay will be dependant on experience but will be £10-14 per hour / £20,000 - 25,000, holiday pay, support from the Financial Controller as required.
