A well-established charity in central London are seeking an experienced Credit Controller with a solid background in the not-for-profit or charitable sector. The successful candidate will be able to commit to a minimum of three months with the strong possibility of the assignment being extended or made permanent. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Chasing debt by phone, email, and letter within agreed timescales.
• Dealing with internal queries about payments, ensuring customers pay on time and negotiating re-payment plans
• Ensure that debts are paid in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate records of all chasing activity.
• Regularly making contact with customers to ensure all relevant debts are managed as necessary.
• Reduce DSO days and hit targets.
• Identify changes in payment patterns and propose action to avert indebtedness
• Ability to assist and cover holidays / sickness workload within the Finance Dept.
• Such other duties as directed by the Finance Manager/Assistant Accountant as may be required on an ad-hoc basis. Personal Experience:
• Experience of SUN systems is desirable but not essential.
• Intermediate Excel skills is desirable but not essential (pivot tables & Vlookups).
• A background in the charity or not-for-profit sector is essential.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise their workload. Please note to be considered for this exciting opportunity the successful candidate must be immediately available to start.
