We have a fantastic opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join a local leading financial services organisation. Job Description: The purpose of the Financial Accountant role will be to provide financial reports and analysis, identify and drive financial improvements including pricing and resource allocation within a highly regulatory and risk-managed environment. Duties will include: Prepare and submit statutory regulatory returns to external governing bodies on a timely basis, including the Prudential Regulatory Authority (PRA), Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), Bank of England (BoE) Support the Finance Director in the delivery of key regulatory documents including ICAAP and ILAAP. Provide assistance to the Head of Risk in the preparation of the organisation's Recovery Plan, specifically Fair Value Adjustments Prepare and review suitable credit, capital and liquidity models for stress testing and scenario planning for submission and review Develop and maintain management Information for submission to Board Committees focusing on the Capital and Liquidity Management, against Board Risk Appetite Prepare detailed Assets and Liabilities Committee (ALCO) Management of the Treasury Back Office function Prepare detailed Product Development Committee (PDC) Management Information Prepare quarterly collective and individual impairment assessments Support the Finance Director in the preparation of the statutory annual accounts, including preparation of working papers supporting those accounts Candidate requirements for the Financial Accountant role : You will be actively studying towards an Accountancy Qualification (ACA,ACCA,CIMA) or be fully qualified Previous experience within a similar finance role ideally within a financial services organisation Knowledge and awareness of FCA, PRA and other regulators Advanced Excel skills (e.g. Macros, Pivot tables, VLookup) Be able to rise to the challenges presented in a demanding environment, whilst maintaining a high standard of work Numerate and analytically minded, with a passion for accuracy and quality Meticulous and detail orientated, with strong evaluation skills Hours: Monday to Friday, 9.00am - 5.00pm

Salary:
