Purchase Ledger Clerk Based in Tring, our client is an established multisite company looking for an Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their team on a permanent basis. This job would suit someone with previous experience working within accounts payable/receivable roles. You will have responsibility for the co-ordination and processing of purchase ledger transactions to ensure that suppliers are paid within agreed payment terms and in accordance with relevant controls and procedures. The successful candidate must be a team player with effective communication skills, able to solve problems and demonstrate high integrity. The candidate must also have good attention to detail with high standards and be proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office suite. Previous experience of 1-2 years within an accounting environment dealing with high volume, low value invoicing is preferred. Duties will include: Receipting purchase invoices from suppliers Matching purchase invoices to Purchase Orders, ensuring that purchase order has been correctly approved Coding and data entry of purchase invoices onto purchase ledger Reconciliation of supplier accounts including resolution of any queries and disputes Preparation of purchase ledger payment runs Maintenance of supplier account information (contact details, bank details etc.) Month-end and year-end purchase ledger procedures and reconciliations Aged Creditor management and variance analysis reporting Processing online payments through banking portal Assist with improving processes and procedures to support supplier processes and operational efficiencies in cost controls For more information about this role or any other Purchase Ledger jobs within Tring, please contact me in confidence or visit our website www.mrkassociates.co.uk.
