Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently working with a fantastic business based in North Leeds. They are currently seeking an energetic and diligent Finance Analyst to join their growing Finance team As a Finance Analyst, you will be reporting to the Finance Manager and you will have an inquisitive nature, reporting and analysing the business movements. This is a pivotal role in an exciting fast-paced environment. Key duties as Finance Analyst will include: - Ensure accurate invoicing and financial reporting across business units and to 3rd parties - Highlight and investigate any areas of concern, liaising with internal teams, IT and/or other finance teams as appropriate - Monitor in-season shrinkage and compare to the budget/forecast - Understand and investigate any variances - Report results and KPI's to all parties - Prepare weekly and monthly reports - Ensure correct accounting treatment to obsolescence, faulty and shrinkage - Prepare and analyse Balance Sheet reconciliations, giving justifications for all exceptional items or unusual balances to ensure the minimum number of reconciliation points - Communicate with people from all areas of the business and at all levels as and when required - Respond to requests for ad-hoc reports and within the deadlines expressed The successful applicant will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experiences: - Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) - Good IT knowledge - Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, CODA, SQL - Ability to analyse and interpret large volumes of information - Excellent attention to detail with an analytical approach to solving problems - Strong communication and influencing skills - Enthusiastic and driven with a real passion for developing yourself - Be able to adapt and keep pace with a fast-moving environment - Commercial awareness and understanding of core business processes Elevation Accountancy & Finance is a specialist division of Elevation Recruitment focusing on the recruitment of talented Accountancy and Finance professionals across all levels, from Ledger Clerks through to Financial Directors in Yorkshire and surrounding regions.
