Robert Half Finance and Accounting are actively recruiting for a temporary Assistant Accountant to support a well-established manufacturing business in Weybridge. The Assistant Accountant role is being offered as an ongoing temporary assignment. With onsite parking the business is looking to recruit an assistant accountant to join a well-established finance team. There is the potential for a permanent role at the end of the assignment. Key Responsibilities. Month end close processes Preparation and approval of balance sheet reconciliations Working closely with the finance, operations and HR teams to ensure transactions are accurately reported Assist with working towards and then maintaining SOX compliance Preparation of the VAT, Intrastat and EC sales returns and working with the AP team on VAT issue resolution and training Key contact for internal and external auditors Other ad-hoc duties Your Profile The successful assistant accountant is likely to have had previous experience of working within a busy finance function. Advanced Excel is required and therefore you will be asked to complete a short Excel test. The ability to work solely and as part of a team is essential.
