My client are a fantastic manufacturing business based in Aston. They are currently recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant position to get on board to help continue to drive forward business. The ideal candidate will be studying towards their CIMA qualification and have experience within a similar role. - Provide daily, weekly and monthly reports on inventory-related matters - Review and maintenance of inventory-related Item Master Data - Oversight of all aspects of Inventory Accounting - processing cut off, issues to/from works orders, transfers, write -offs, provisioning and shrinkage - Preparation of accurate and timely journal entries to align periodic operational movements in accordance with accounting standards - Reconciliation of inventory held at third-parties - Analyse and investigate monthly material adjustments and manufacturing variances - Work with the Cost & Management Accounting team to advise and support Operational Teams - Prepare inventory provisions for Excess & Obsolete inventory, Shrinkage, Quarantine, Aged WIP and any other impaired inventory - Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations for raw materials, work in progress and finished goods - Monitor and investigate any discrepancies between the Warehouse Management and the ERP systems - Coordinate and assist with inventory counting processes, ensuring that adjustments are processed on a timely basis and liaising with external auditors - Reconciliation of stocktakes for International Consignment warehouses - Work closely with inventory management teams to ensure robust controls are in place over physical inventory and action is taken to close gaps and reduce losses - Contribute to ad hoc projects so as to develop current systems with the aim of improving efficiency, accuracy and effectiveness of inventory reporting and control Please do get in touch is this sounds of interest.
