A market leading business is looking for a Finance Manager to lead a large reconciliations team. Based in St. Albans, Hertfordshire, this Finance Manager role is offered on a full-time, permanent basis and comes loaded with up to £70,000 plus a bonus and benefits. The Finance Manager will be joining a leader within their industry who have grown massively in recent years. They have locations nationwide and are continuously growing. Responsibilities of your new role Your core duties as the new Finance Manager will include: Keeping all designated bank accounts reconciled to the end of the previous day Ensuring all cash receipts and payments are allocated on the purchase and sales ledger Assisting with cash flow management Preparing the VAT return for review and transmission Assisting in the financial 'take-on' of acquired sites Processing payments in the absence of one of the other signatories Assisting with purchase ledger transactional processing as appropriate to departmental workloads Suggesting improvements to further develop the bank reconciliation process Taking ownership of the monthly site performance report by attending operational site reviews and providing explanations to reported variances Suggesting and implementing improvements to the monthly site performance report Shadowing other Finance Department members through financial and reporting tasks so that workloads can be covered during periods of annual leave and sickness Suggesting improvements to the reporting system to improve data collection and integrity Identifying and validating un-posted transactions and arranging for them to be posted. Candidate requirements To be considered for this Finance Manager position you should demonstrate: ACA / ACCA qualified accountant Strong controls and hands-on accounting exposure Considerable experience leading high performing teams and ensuring processes and controls are followed through accurately Ambition and flexibility Experience of Sage 200, trading account processes and reconciliation techniques Good understanding of the data requirement and input process of DRS Excellent communication skills with the ability to problem solve and think strategically The ability to achieve goals and meet deadlines without compromising accuracy Benefits The successful Finance Manager will benefit from: £65,000 - £70,000 per annum Great benefits package Strong bonus potential Friendly culture and excellent progression opportunities Apply now Please apply today to be considered immediately for this exceptional Finance Manager opportunity in St. Albans.
