The ideal role holder will be someone who is innovative, capable of working collaboratively, has good prioritisation skills, and capable of understanding and analysing numerical information. The role holder would ideally be capable of moving into a senior financial accounting role within a few years. The individual should be seeking to develop their skills in the management accounting team, and widen their experience. The role holder will have the following

responsibilities:
Performance Reporting - Preparation and reviewing of periodic reports, supporting cost centre managers, generating ad-hoc information (normally overhead, cash or balance sheet related. Rolling Forecast - Support the generation of the overhead, cash and balance sheet elements of the rolling forecast, reviewing the results to ensure they are sensible. Control Environment - Apply the financial control system, identify areas of improvement/ weaknesses, and suggest modifications as appropriate. Month End -Prepare and post journals, prepare balance sheet account reconciliations for review, and highlight any issues as applicable. Working Capital - Report actual cash performance, support the short-term cash forecast process and control creditor payments to predetermined targets. Group Requirements - liaise with group functions (e.g. internal audit, tax department) and external parties, review reporting and control systems, and suggest modifications IS and Business Processes -maintain the financial systems, ensure that issues are highlighted and improvements are suggested. The role holder will be someone with the following qualifications and experience : Professionally qualified or QBE Financial Accounting background/experience An excellent level of numeracy skills to enable understanding and analyse numerical information to make the right conclusions and decisions.
