Responsibilities:
Conduct analysis work to a consistent high standard with a range of business areas; produce output to agreed timescales, formats and standards Consider the wider impact of proposed changes to ensure no detrimental unforeseen impact upon other processes or part of the organisation Define, articulate and implement changes to processes/systems in order to improve efficiency and effectiveness within the project framework Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources; identify gaps, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, and distinguish user requests from underlying true needs Elicit further requirements and test/challenge assumptions using a variety of methods including interviews, document analysis, workshops and business process descriptions Effectively plan the business analysis tasks within the project structure; provide estimates and plans to the Project Manager to be integrated into the wider plan; inform the Project Manager of changes to timescales or deliverables Manage the analysis tasks within the project including booking meetings, obtaining sign offs, running sessions etc. Escalate issues where required, work with Project Managers and sponsors to resolve Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously Stakeholder management - interact with all levels of management, obtain buy in and sign off and manage expectations, demonstrate use of appropriate tools and techniques Ensure stakeholders have an understanding of the role and value of the Business Analyst Ensure an effective relationship with the Project Manager thus providing a high value Business Change service to the wider Business. Contribute to the Business Solutions Team development of standards/methodology for capturing and publishing business processes, requirements and other documentation Demonstrate a familiarity with a wide range of Business Analyst tools and techniques and the critical evaluation necessary to select and apply them appropriately Demonstrate ability to apply analysis techniques to unfamiliar domains quickly and effectively Promote the value of the Business Solutions team across the business whenever the opportunity arises Skills and Experience: Business analysis experience and knowledge of business analysis methodologies Experience of working within a formal project structure Experience of understanding the relationships, dependencies and impacts of change on multiple systems and processes Insurance experience desirable or a demonstrable appetite to develop this experience Excellent communication skills Ability to work independently Appreciation of various project management methodologies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Suggested training includes ISEB and insurance qualifications such as LLMIT or CII
