As part of the team responsible for financial control, you will play a key role as a financial advisor for the Corporate and Asset Finance ("CAF") division in London. Acting as a primary Finance contact point to CAF's businesses, you will be responsible for reviewing proposed transactions for appropriate accounting and commercial treatment, assisting with technical accounting analysis and implementation of new products. Additionally, you will assist with financial integration and onboarding of new acquisitions and businesses, liaising with other areas of the Financial Management Group (Group Finance, Regulatory Reporting, Tax and Treasury). You will take responsibility for the implementation of the financial control framework including overseeing monthly Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet and reviewing work prepared by offshore Finance teams. In your Financial Control duties, you will interact closely with CAF Financial Planning and Analysis teams in delivering Profit & Loss forecasts and ensuring completeness and accuracy of results. You will provide key reporting deliverables to the Finance leadership, assisting with the Group audit process and contributing to ad hoc business aligned projects. You will liaise with the Legal Entity Control function and external auditors in planning and delivering external audit engagements of CAF legal entities. You will have close interaction with offshore Finance teams and Operations teams to ensure correct accounting treatment and reporting. You will have a University degree, coupled with a formal accounting qualification (Chartered Accountant or equivalent is preferred), with experience in a similar role, and the technical competency (IFRS/FRS101) to be able to deal with a broad spectrum of principal investing and asset finance/leasing products. Relationship building across a variety of teams, strong internal and external stakeholder engagement skills, and control/ risk awareness will be required for you to be successful in this role. You will also possess strong organisation skills with the ability to prioritise tasks, a high level of accuracy with a right first-time approach and strong attention to detail with the ability to re-assess / re-engineer work processes.
