Department Description Internal Audit is an independent Group function that reports directly to a non-executive Senior Advisor and to the Group Audit and Risk Committee. Our mandate is to examine and critically evaluate the effectiveness of the Company's internal controls and governance systems, as well as the adequacy of, and compliance with, regulatory obligations, internal strategies, policies, processes and reporting procedures. In addition, we help management and the Board to fulfil their oversight responsibilities through effective challenge to help them identify, assess and commercially manage the Company's risk. Using a risk based methodology; our annual audit plan is developed in consultation with FIL management to include audits of specific business areas as well as thematic and emerging risks through participation in new initiatives and systems developments. Internal Audit staff have extensive experience in assurance functions and/or various FIL business units and relevant professional qualifications. The Group Internal Audit function is based in the UK, Luxembourg, Germany, India, Hong Kong and Japan. Purpose of your role This is a critical role within the business audit team, managing the delivery of a suite of audit assignments covering Fidelities Pension (WI and DC) businesses and other related functions to verify that these activities are effectively controlled and that risks are mitigated. In addition, the role will provide support and subject matter expertise to other audits across the global audit team to ensure effective coverage of pension regulatory risk. You will be required to participate in the planning and oversee the execution of audit assignments in line with the FIL audit methodology, producing audit findings and draft reports for presentation to Senior Management. In addition you will be required to represent IA on a number of governance forums for the WI/DC business and monitor the changes to risk profile on an ongoing basis. Key Responsibilities Assist the Audit Director in setting strategy for appropriate coverage of the portfolio of corporate audits. Work autonomously to deliver a suite of planned audits to time and budget. Oversee and define scope for audit projects. Manage audit staff and perform work paper reviews to ensure appropriate coverage and quality. Identify areas in need of improvement and liaise with management to develop an action plan. Responsibility for ongoing relationship management with key stakeholders and development of subject matter expertise. Contribute to the maintenance of the audit universe. Continuously develop your own technical, commercial and personal skills.
