The Financial accountant will report to the Doncaster Group FC and will be responsible for the direction and management of the Financial Accounts Section, ensuring it meets the statutory requirements. Furthermore the Financial Accountant will work to ensure that the company's profit, loss and balance sheet are all accurately recorded.

Description

Based in Doncaster, the responsibilities of the Financial Accountant include;

• Development of best practice operational procedures

• Prepare all the statutory company accounts and returns to a suitable standard

• Developing and Appraising the performance of designated clerical officers

• Managing the compilation of the Financial Ledger accounting information

• Production of financial reports to the satisfaction of the Company's financial information requirements

Profile

The successful candidate for this Financial Accountants role must:

• Hold a professional accountancy qualification or Business degree with an accounting element

• Have 5 years practical experience

• Be confident in managing accounts with a strong grasp on double entry book keeping principles

• Possess a detailed knowledge of statutory regulations regarding Company and Finance Acts as well as Corporation Tax

• Be technically strong and capable of taking ownership over the production of accounts

• Have a passion to progress in their career and develop new skills on the way

• Ideally be wanting to make a first or second move from practice into industry

• Be confident in working to tight deadlines
